Soft Scrub is great, but homemade Thieves soft scrub is even better. It’s clean and non-toxic, making it a better choice for your health.
It’s a direct replacement for Soft Scrub. I use this on anything with grime and buildup to quickly break it down. The baking soda acts as a mild abrasive, making it so effective.
It works w o n d e r s on ALL the things!
This is one of my cleaning staples I always have on hand.
What You Need:
- 2 capfuls Thieves Cleaner
- 2 cups baking soda
- 32 oz airtight glass container
- Optional: a few drops (3-5) lemon essential oil
Old glass jars (like from jelly), mason jars, or weck jars are great for mixing and storing this in.

Directions:
Add the ingredients to the glass container and mix together, adding a little bit of water at a time until a paste forms to your desired consistency.
If too thin, add more baking soda. If too thick, add more water. If you want it “stronger,” add more Thieves Cleaner.
Store with lid on.
How to Use:
Apply a spoonful to any areas with buildup and scrub with a rag or scrubbing brush.
The main places I use this are the shower, tub, and to scrub out sinks. It leaves them squeaky, shiny clean.
