One of my absolute favorite essential oil recipes is this anti-itch roller.
It was a life-saver while I was trying to find the root cause of my chronic hives, and still comes in handy when I get the occasional itch.
And it’s amazing for soothing bug bites.
This is a blend of lavender, purification, and frankincense essential oils. Not only does it stop the itching – it also smells uh-mazing.
What You Need:
- 12 drops Lavender essential oil
- 8 drops Purification essential oil
- 5 drops Frankincense essential oil
- Carrier oil of choice (fractionated coconut oil or jojoba oil work great)
- 10mL roller bottle

- Fill the remaining roller bottle with carrier oil of your choice. Leave a little bit of space at the top so you can mix it all together (step 3).
- Click the roller top in and give it a little shake.
- Apply externally anywhere itching occurs. Do not apply on or near eyes, ears, nose, mouth, or private areas.
- Let it work its magic ✨
Disclaimer:
I have bought and used essential oils from the grocery store, Doterra, and Young Living. The Doterra and store bought oils have never lasted long or worked very well. For that reason, I only use Young Living essential oils and I can only speak to the efficacy and safety of this recipe using Young Living essential oils. If you use a different brand of essential oil and don’t find it works, they may not be quality oils and I would recommend trying a higher quality oil instead.
